This Groundbreaking program is adapted from Mindful Self Compassion developed by Drs. Kristin Neff and Chris Germer and Dr Neff's latest work on Fierce Self-Compassion.  This 10-week program will teach you how to access both the yin and yang qualities of self compassion to lessen the power of your inner critic, and overcome challenges with a fierce, loving, warrior heart.

"Fierce Self-Compassion: Activating the Yin & Yang of Self-Compassion" allows us to turn to the wide spectrum of possibility in Yin and Yang self-compassion, a powerful arsenal of resources including soothing and comforting, caring, protecting, providing and motivating ourselves when things fall apart.  This is the beauty of Fierce Self-Compassion, a practice grounded in loving connection and expressed in compassionate action.


  In the Fierce Self-Compassion program:

  •   Learn skills to feel strength, courage and motivation in times of challenge
  •   Handle difficult emotions with greater ease
  •   Reduce anxiety, depression, and stress

Program activities include  self-compassion meditations exploring yin and yang qualities,  experiential exercises, group discussion, journaling and home practices,  all in a supportive environment.


Background of Mindful Self-Compassion


Mindful  Self-Compassion (MSC) is a program developed by Kristin Neff, the  pioneering researcher in the field of  self-compassion (www.Self-Compassion.org) and the author of  Self-Compassion: Stop Beating Yourself Up and Leave Insecurity Behind;  and Christopher Germer, a clinical psychologist who specializes in  mindfulness and compassion-based psychotherapy  (www.MindfulSelfCompassion.org) and the author of many books including A  Mindful Path to Self-Compassion.  Fierce Self Compassion is adapted  from both MSC and the new work of Kristin Neff on Fierce  Self-Compassion.


In this program, you will learn:
Self  compassion as a skill that can help you to meet life's difficulties  with more wisdom, strength and kindness. 

How to offer yourself the  compassion and encouragement you would naturally extend to a dear friend  or stranger. 

A courageous attitude of mind that will give you emotional  stability and resilience to be more fully present with uncertainty so that you can recover from life's difficulties and move on with more ease  and confidence.
